Professor Anthony Mora shares his experiences in the academic world pursuing and eventually teaching history at Texas A&M University and The University of Michigan! I had the great opportunity to take his history of Heroes and Superheroes in American Pop Culture course (which is offered in the Winter 2024 semester) and we discussed Mora’s work in researching the history of the character Zorro. What was his experience writing his book, Border Dilemmas? How does the students in a course affect interactions with the content? What can superheroes teach about history and culture? All these questions and more are answered this week on the Student Counsel!
